We are starting the season on a high note! Congratulations to VFX Supervisor Jonathan Fawkner and Animation Supervisor Dale Newton for their win at the ASTRA Awards, recognising the spellbinding work on Wicked: For Good.
Televisual Facilities 50 Ranked #1
We are incredibly proud to be ranked #1 overall and #1 in the peer poll in Televisual’s Facilities 50 for 2025. Our peers recognised us as a studio that “consistently pushes the boundaries of what is possible in visual effects and storytelling,” noting that we are a “powerhouse of creativity and technical expertise.

The Academy Awards Shortlist
Three Framestore projects — F1, Superman, and Wicked: For Good — have been shortlisted for Best Visual Effects at the 98th Academy Awards!
Showcasing everything from grit and speed to pure fantasy, these projects highlight the strength and depth of our creative and technical resources. To be recognised by our peers, and alongside the year’s most inventive and ambitious work, is a momentous highlight for everyone involved.

BAFTA Awards Longlist
The BAFTA longlist for Special Visual Effects has been announced, and five of the ten films feature work by Framestore. Congratulations to our teams around the world whose creativity and dedication brought F1, How To Train Your Dragon, Mickey 17, Superman, and Wicked: For Good to the big screen.

Framestore has snagged four nominations at the upcoming Annie Awards, including 3 out of the 5 spots for Best Character Animation - Live Action!
It is a privilege to see our teams recognized for such a diverse range of performance and creature work. From the chaotic energy of Krypto in Superman and the emotional return of Toothless and the dragons in How To Train Your Dragon, to the breathtaking realism of the ancient giants in Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age, our artists continue to set the standard for bringing CG characters to life.
But we didn’t just bring the creatures; we brought the weather, too. Our FX team picked up a nomination for Best FX - TV/Media, recognizing the complex, chilling snow simulations that built the frozen world of Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age.
