Jonathan Fawkner

A multiple Oscar and BAFTA nominee, Jonathan's work has taken him from the MCU to the gritty realism of James Bond and on to Jon M. Chu's astonishing, gravity-defying Wicked double act.

Joining Framestore in 2000, Jonathan quickly demonstrated his talents on standout projects like V for Vendetta, Children of Men and Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. As VFX Supervisor, his expertise spans everything from Ancient Greece (Wrath Of The Titans) and 19th Century London (Sherlock Holmes) to the futuristic visions of James Cameron’s Avatar and Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity.

His relationship with Marvel Studios led to supervisory work on both Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, earning BAFTA and Oscar nominations for his work. 2021 saw Jonathan earn his third Academy Award nomination for No Time To Die, before reuniting with frequent collaborator James Gunn for The Suicide Squad.
