Meet the Panellists
Theo Jones | VFX Supervisor
An Academy Award-nominated Visual Effects Supervisor and has worked on some of Framestore’s most innovative and groundbreaking initiatives, his work spanning major Hollywood films to immersive experiences and highly technical research projects. His impressive list of credits includes Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Paddington 2 and Disney’s Christopher Robin, for which he was nominated for the VFX Oscar. This creativity is complemented by his technical expertise, which has seen him working on innovative projects such as the award-winning ‘Mars Bus’ (the world’s first group VR vehicle), the Battle for Avengers Tower VR experience and the LED overhaul of Morgan Stanley’s New York HQ. His wide-ranging experience made Theo the perfect person to lead several boundary-pushing R&D projects, including FUSE (a brand new real-time VFX pipeline) and several grant-funded projects exploring AI, machine learning and deepfake technology.
William Bartlett | Executive Creative Director
Bafta-winning designer and director with over 20 years of experience working in advertising, television and film. William spent most of his career as a VFX Supervisor collaborating on many iconic projects, including four James Bond title sequences. He has worked on many adverts and music videos, including Guinness 'Noitulove,' which won the Grand Prix at Cannes and 'Doo Wop (that thing)' for Lauryn Hill, which was MTV music video of the year.
Since 2016, William has been focused on his own directing and design work. The first job he took on, a title sequence for the BBC, went on to win several awards, including the Bafta for title sequence design. He has also directed work for SKY, ITV, Google, Heineken, Jaguar, Channel 4, and a spot for The Times newspaper that was awarded a D&AD pencil for TV advertising and was part of the APA 50.
Kevin Young | Creative Technology Director
A pioneer in real-time and interactive media, Kevin Young is the Creative Technology Director within Framestore’s Immersive team, where he spearheads the studio’s exploration of spatial user experience and next-generation mixed reality. With over two decades of experience at the intersection of craft and innovation, Kevin’s career began designing groundbreaking online experiences for Oasis and The Mighty Boosh before leading innovation-led film campaigns for the likes of Disney, Fox, and HBO. His technical leadership is underpinned by a tenure as the first Head of Creative Technology at The Mill and time spent within Wētā FX’s Special Projects team, where he pushed the limits of emerging technology. This diverse expertise has seen his work showcased on global stage,s including Sundance, TriBeCa, and the White House.
