Gavin McKenzie | VFX Supervisor
Gavin began his career as a Digital Playback Technician, where he was first exposed to the world of visual effects. After retraining as a Compositor, he joined Framestore in 2012.
Since being at Framestore, he has worked on a wide variety of projects, from Gravity, Wonder Woman 1984 and Paddington to Iron Man 3, and Thor: Ragnarok. His outstanding skills earned him a VES Award and BAFTA nomination for the series, which he credits as two of his proudest achievements. His latest project is Apex for Netflix.
Dorothy Ballarini | Creature Supervisor
Dorothy began her career in Brazil, at a palaeontology university, where she helped to reconstruct Triassic dinosaurs from fossil evidence. This deep foundation in anatomical accuracy led her to the games industry, before transitioning into VFX for major studios and projects.
Dorothy’s impressive credits include Jurassic World, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and Life. She finds it particularly rewarding to oversee the entire lifecycle of a creature, collaborating closely with art departments to guide a character from its initial concept sketches through to final textures.
Having joined Framestore in 2023, Dorothy recently served as Creature Supervisor on the acclaimed series Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age. The project perfectly aligned her technical skill with her lifelong passion for prehistoric life, and she is incredibly proud of the team’s multiple award wins.
Guy Schuleman | FX Supervisor
Guy began his career in South Africa, where he earned a BA in Graphic Design and an Advanced Certificate in 3D Animation from the Midrand Graduate Institute. He initially worked in advertising, serving as the lead 3D artist, before making the move into feature film visual effects.

In this role, he oversees specialised teams to deliver complex FX for some of cinema's most prominent franchises. His extensive portfolio includes work on Avengers: Endgame, Wonka and How to Train Your Dragon.
A career standout for Guy was working as an FX Lead on Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age, where he worked across multiple sites and collaborated with a global team of artists to push the boundaries of natural history effects. His exceptional work on the series earned him both an Annie and a VES Award for Best Effects Simulation in 2026.
