After completing a Masters in Computer Visualisation, Andy began his career in commercials before working on Christopher Columbus’ Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Ridley Scott’s Gladiator. In 2002, he joined Framestore as CG Supervisor on numerous projects including the Hippogriff sequence in Alfonso Cuarón’s Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the innovative birth shot in Children of Men and the underwater sequence in Mike Newell’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He breathed life into the CG polar bears for Chris Weitz’s Academy-Award winning The Golden Compass and created the CG vipers and environments for the Sand Room sequence in Mike Newell’s Prince of Persia.

In 2010 he brought new life to the animated Harry Potter characters Kreacher and Dobby for David Yates’ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. He was subsequently promoted to VFX Supervisor for Part 2. Andy worked on the Academy Award-winning Gravity, directed by Alfonso Cuarón, and James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Paddington. He has recently collaborated closely with British Director David Yates, bringing The Legend of Tarzan and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to the big screen. Andy was VFX Supervisor on the critically-acclaimed sequel Paddington 2. Always happy to be back in the world of J.K.Rowling, Andy recently headed up Framestore’s contribution to Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, gaining a BAFTA nomination in Special Visual Effects for his work. Andy’s most recently released project was Marc Munden’s upcoming The Secret Garden. His most recent work was on the live-action / animation feature Tom & Jerry for Warner Bros.

Andy brings considerable technical knowledge, exacting standards and a photographer’s eye to all his projects.
