Alexis Wajsbrot
Alexis’ most recent projects have seen him devise and oversee some of cinema’s most jaw-droppingly entertaining action sequences, from the mind-bending world of Doctor Strange to Taika Waititi’s unique Thor: Ragnarok and Spider-Man: Far From Home’s standout ‘illusion battle’, which saw Peter Parker’s worst fears take shape.
Alexis joined Framestore in 2009 as a Lead FX TD on Mike Newell’s Prince of Persia, painstakingly creating (and then destroying) the CG ‘sand room’. As FX Supervisor on Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity, Alexis lead the team’s development and implementation of new proprietary software.
Alongside technical knowledge and true creative flair, Alexis brings a deep love of cinema to his work - a passion which led him to co-direct acclaimed horror film Don’t Hang Up, which premiered at 2016’s LA Film Festival.
After a three-film MCU run Alexis brought his skill to another heroic milieu, supervising the action-packed third act of Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984.
He most recently served as VFX Supervisor on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the third instalment of Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as the holiday special.
