Alexis Wajsbrot
Oscar nominee Alexis Wajsbrot’s career encompasses some of modern cinema’s most inspired action sequences, but has also seen him tug on the world’s heartstrings by overseeing moving, nuanced character performance from fully CG characters.
Hailed by James Gunn as "some of the best VFX work ever seen," Wajsbrot’s work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 made Rocket Raccoon the film’s star.
Prior to this, he developed some of the most mind-bending sequences to be found in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and oversaw Spider-Man: Far From Home’s standout ‘illusion battle’, which saw Peter Parker’s worst fears take shape.
Alongside technical knowledge and true creative flair, Alexis brings a deep love of cinema to his work - a passion which led him to co-direct acclaimed horror film Don’t Hang Up, which premiered at 2016’s LA Film Festival.
One of his most recent projects has seen him wave goodbye to the MCU for a spell in Peru, where he was serving as Production VFX Supervisor on the third Paddington adventure, Paddington in Peru.
