BIFA Shortlist
We're thrilled that His House has been shortlisted for Best Effects at the 2020 BIFAs - the British Independent Film Awards - with VFX Supervisor Pedro Sabrosa sharing the nomination with special effects supervisor Stefano Pepin. The effects nomination is one of a whopping 16 overall nominations which include categories for director Remi Weekes and actress and actor Wunmi Mosako and Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù.

Insider x Lovecraft Country
Grant Walker, our VFX Supervisor on Lovecraft Country and Framestore's Joint Head of CG spoke to the team at Insider so they could put together a deep dive on how we brought to life the Shoggoth for HBO's Lovecraft Country; from design and modelling through to on-set reference stunt performers and final composition.

To promote the release of the much-anticipated season two of the show, Framestore teamed up with HBO to launch immersive AR App 'His Dark Materials: My Daemon' where fans get the chance to customise and interact with their very own 'daemons'.

HPA Awards Nominations
The HPA Awards have announced their nominations for the 15th Annual HPA Awards and we're proud to have three nominations across our recent work in film and television. We'd like to congratulate all of our artists and friends who have been nominated for their outstanding work. The HPA Awards will be held on November 19th.

We are thrilled to see the release of the first trailer for Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey, a musical adventure and a visual spectacle worked on by our teams in Montreal and London. From the imagination of writer-director David E. Talbert, the feature film reminds us of the strength of family and the power of possibility.
Art meets AR
For a piece on Little Black Book, Creative Director Henry Trotter was asked what he considers some of the most exciting projects where art meets augmented reality, along with other tech-heads and art-heads from the advertising world.
Henry talked about Apple's Vritual Art Tour which was developed in partnership with the New Museum in New York and featured work by six different artists.
Designing theme parks
In our next installment on the Blooloop blog, concept designer Yoan Vernet wrote about how our art department has to approach creating designs specifically for theme parks.
He spoke about the immediacy that visuals have to have when incorporated into the world of a theme park and how he has to always remind himself where the visuals will ultimately end up.
