Meet the Speaker

Head of Animation | Nick Tripodi

Nick is one of the industry’s premier creature and character animators. His diverse portfolio features everything from the creation of stylised, anthropomorphic creatures and menacing supervillains to providing fine detail for photoreal dramas.

Most recently, Nick led the Melbourne studio’s animation work for the hugely anticipated live-action adaptation of How To Train Your Dragon.

Prior to this, he oversaw the animation for Ted, which creator Seth MacFarlane described as "exquisite," praising the work for its subtlety, specificity and capacity for imbuing the foul-mouthed bear with "the same level of emotion as the human cast."

Other standout moments include work on memorable characters and sequences for the likes of Men in Black: International, Aquaman and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, along with an Annie Award nomination for his work on Game of Thrones' ‘Battle of the Bastards’ episode.
