Meet the Speaker

Owen Braekke-Carroll | VFX Supervisor

Owen joined Framestore’s film division in 2013. As a Lead Compositor, he worked on numerous high-profile projects such as Doctor Strange, Thor Ragnarok and Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle. In 2018, he began VFX Supervising in the Episodic division, using his talent to work on series like Netflix’s The Witcher and Black Mirror, Amazon's The Boys and others.

Owen recently finished working on The Wheel of Time Season 3 and Season 2 of Invasion for Apple TV. Prior to this, he was working as a show supervisor on HBO and Sky’s The Baby, managing shoot supervision and four vendors, including Framestore.

Before joining Framestore, Owen studied at the Australian National University in Canberra and graduated with a BA in Digital Art (Honours). He also has a Master's degree in Visual Effects, and began his career within film in 2011 at Rising Sun Pictures in Adelaide.
Owen is passionate about pushing visual boundaries using the latest technology.
