The Collector - Leon's Night Out
For the third film in the Sky Collector campaign which is all centered around music and dancing, the team added the finishing touches that added this film’s collector into several more entertainment properties.
Led again by VFX Supervisor Chris Redding, the team’s work on this film in the campaign included adding a number of CG objects throughout as well as recreating a Hollywood backdrop as Leon, the titular collector danced this way through the film’s properties.
As he makes his Strictly Come Dancing debut, Leon’s accompanied by CG score signs and the iconic glitterball which is whipped out of the scene by the campaign’s portal which also appears in a Spotify recording session as a number of instruments disappear.
The biggest scene-matching work that the team needed to do was creating a DMP of the view from the Hollywood hills as Leon joins in, dancing with Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling in a La La Land sequence. The look and the aesthetics for scenes throuhgout were matched by a grade by Simon Bourne.
