Beau Leon added a mellow and moody grade to Jay-Z's music video '4:44' from his newest album '4:44'. The short film, directed by TNEG, was a combination of found footage and beautiful choreography. Beau partnered with Director of Photography Malik Sayeed on colour reminiscent of Malik's forte: film.
London
Steffan Perry graded 'The Widow's Last' with director Vanessa Perdriau. The film, set in 1800s Ireland, will be premering tomorrow at Galway Film Festival in Ireland and will go on to festivals in Rhode Island and Los Angeles. Honourable VFX mentions go to Framestore VFX Supervisor Vanessa DuQuesnay, Compositors Jack Fisher and Sherrine Byfield, Matte Painter Ingo Putze, and Editor Lawrence Glew.
Next on the list of short films, another by Mr. Perry, is 'Mate', directed by Tom Connolly. They won Best Short at LA's New Media Film Festival; watch the teaser below and the full film here.
And Simon Bourne added a grade to DDB Remedy's Hepatitis C Awareness campaign. Directed by Conkerco with VFX by Framestore's Tim Greenwood.

The Summer of Colour continues with the anticipated arrival of London Colourist Jessica Vile. She will be available from July 17th - 28th and is looking forward to sharing her love for colour, artistic detail, and photography with new friends in the Midwest. Sadly, Simon Bourne's time in the city is coming to an end, but London will be glad to have him back at the start of next week.
