Befores & Afters spoke to Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire’s on-set VFX Supervisor, Marcus Taormina about the biggest VFX challenges in Rebel Moon Part 1. Taormina was full of praise for the teams in Montreal, Mumbai and Vancouver’s work on the Bennu and Harmada.
“Believe it or not, about 90% of that sequence is Jenna Malone in make-up effects, where we digitally seam her at the navel and sometimes around the bust area. Framestore did that amazing work and took a lot of care in creating that creature.”
