Henry Trotter is an award-winning writer, director and creative whose work ranges from feature film documentaries to animated series and immersive experiences. His diverse work is united by a focus on story, character and comedy. Working with long time collaborator Chris Waitt, Henry created and directed the cult MTV puppet character comedy Fur TV, which won a Rose d’Or at the Montreaux Television Festival, as well as the  documentary feature film A Complete History of My Sexual Failures, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival before its UK cinema release.

Having worked with Nexus Studios, Henry came to Framestore in 2012 to develop, write and direct the ground-breaking Formula One CG animated series Tooned which won several awards (including a Clio for Best Branded Entertainment). Henry has worked with R/GA to create the innovative Beats ‘Pills’ characters, featuring Nicky Minaj, Eminem and Pharrell. The ‘Pills’ pioneered the use of realtime animation technology to create interactive, animations for instant and reactive social media use. More recently, Henry has developed innovative immersive ‘transmedia’ experiences for Warner Bros. and HBO conceiving of new ways to tell immersive stories across multiple interacting formats. Henry has also written scripts for rides and attractions, and developed the Science Museum’s immersive Science Fiction show A Voyage To The Edge of Imagination, launching in London 2022 (and touring to 2027) for which he also wrote the script.
