Godfather of Harlem Season 4

Bumpy Johnson is back for Godfather of Harlem Season 4.

Our artists, led by Jonathan Jobin, were tapped to deliver visuals that complement the newest betrayals, battles, and power struggles that the upcoming installment has to offer.

The new season premieres April 13th on MGM+.

While working on the latest installment, our artists’ goal was to achieve photorealistic VFX that enhanced the narrative without drawing attention to the VFX work itself, focusing on maximizing efficiency without compromising quality. We referenced previous assets and workflows from earlier seasons—like CG background environments for driving comps—allowing us to streamline our process and ensure visual continuity.

One of the most rewarding challenges was executing the fire and destruction scenes, as well as crafting the CG crowd sequences. These sequences tested our team’s technical and creative limits, while offering valuable insights for crowd work through an effective hybrid approach, integrating practical and 3D crowd elements together.

“Participating in the project throughout its entire lifecycle—from pre-production, to on-set filming, and through to final VFX delivery—is a rare opportunity,” comments Jonathan Jobin. “It’s highly rewarding to see the shots evolve from the script to screen, with our artists bringing the vision to life.”
