John Kilshaw
With more than 25 years of industry experience, John joined Framestore in 2019 after holding roles at studios including DNEG, ILM, Lucasfilm, Method, and Zoic, where he built an extensive credits list including several Harry Potter installments, The Avengers, and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, as well as television shows ranging from Marvel’s Iron Fist and The Defenders to Cary Fukunaga’s Maniac.
Based out of the New York studio, John brings his cinematic and television experience to Framestore’s Episodic department as it continues to deliver the highest-quality VFX and creative partnerships. He acts as the Executive Creative Director on all Episodic work in New York and London and continues to VFX Supervise on special projects. Some notable projects that he has overseen since joining Framestore are Away, Kaleidoscope, Sugar, The Diplomat and The Godfather of Harlem.
John holds a BA hons in Photography and Design from North Staffordshire Polytechnic and an MA in 3D computer animation from Bournemouth University.
