Carlos Monzon
Carlos Monzon’s career has been characterized by a deft, seamless artistry that enthrals and immerses whether he is leading a photorealistic drama or a flight of pure cinematic fantasy.
Carlos has most recently supervised season three of the critically acclaimed Foundation for Apple TV+. Prior to this he led the Montreal team’s work on Wonka (directed by frequent Framestore collaborator Paul King), which demanded a mix of real-world tangibility and stylized whimsy that mixed complex photoreal creatures, breathtaking digital environments and charming, full-CG setpieces.
Carlos is a popular leader and a born collaborator. He worked closely with David E. Talbert on the unique festive fable Jingle Jangle — nominated for an HPA Award — and Adam McKay on the complex environments and detailed FX work of all-star satirical drama Don’t Look Up.
Other projects bearing his mark include the Oscar-nominated Christopher Robin, two instalments of the beloved Paddington franchise and Detective Pikachu, which saw Carlos populate our crowded human world with hundreds of reach-out-and-touch-them CG Pokémon and was nominated for a VES Award.
