Alan is an experienced CG Supervisor with over 15 years’ of experience. A Computer Science graduate, he went on to complete an MSc in Computer Animation at Bournemouth University before launching his career at Framestore as Technical Director on films such as Alien vs Predator and X-Men: The Last Stand, before heading up the crowd department on Baz Luhrmann’s Australia and The Chronicles of Narnia.
From here he moved to Weta Digital for a two-year stint, working as a sequence lighting lead on the Academy Award-winning Avatar. He returned to Framestore in 2011, working on acclaimed feature films like Edge of Tomorrow and Guardians of the Galaxy while also taking the reins on Guitar Hero Live, an ambitious immersive project.
Alan returned to Weta to work on Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and Rampage, before returning home to Framestore as CG Supervisor on Mary Poppins Returns, Oscar nominee The Midnight Sky and Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984.
