The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water
This project was completed by Method Studios in 2015. Method’s film and episodic teams in Montreal, Vancouver and Melbourne are now a fully-integrated part of Framestore.
An extension of the popular series, this hybrid animated feature brings Bikini Bottom’s most famous resident to the big screen in stereoscopic 3D. Unlike the series, which features hand drawn characters, the film leverages CG animation. Artists turned the iconic characters into 3D models and gave them a superhero makeover per the script. The team also helped integrate the CG characters into live action sequences.
