Annie Awards 2026

Framestore celebrates two wins at The Annie Awards. How To Train Your Dragon took the trophy for Best Character Animation - Live Action, while our FX team won Best FX - TV/Media for its complex simulation work on Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age.

The How to Train Your Dragon animation team won for their work on the film’s colourful array of dragons; Toothless, Deadly Nadder, Gronckle, Zippleback, Monstrous Nightmare, Terrible Terror, and the colossal Red Death - Framestore’s biggest creature to date. This prestigious accolade recognises their role in establishing a unique personality for each creature.

The FX team took home the award for its complex, chilling snow simulations on Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age. These accurate simulations played a key part in building the series’ frozen world, immersing the audience in a dramatic era in Earth’s history.
