With more than 15 years of industry experience, Thomas is now working at the internationally known VFX company Framestore to develop methodologies and maintain high-end image quality across episodic projects. Beginning his career at the company’s London office as a Paint and Roto Artist on films like Where the Wild Things Are, Avatar, and Sherlock Holmes, he chose to move back to Montreal to spread his wings at a different company before rejoining the Framestore team in January 2021.

Spending a decade at Rodeo FX in Montreal, he acted as Digital Compositor, Digital Compositing Supervisor, and VFX Supervisor on primetime shows such as Black Sails, Crawl, Watchmen and Those Who Wish Me Dead. He also worked on Game of Thrones (Seasons 4-7), during which time he acted as Compositing Supervisor for Seasons 6 and 7.

Thomas' most recent work at Framestore as VFX Supervisor included primetime shows such as Invasion Season 2, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan Season 4 and Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5.

Thomas claims a host of industry awards, including a VES Award for Outstanding Environment in a Photoreal Episode for Game of Thrones, as well as a Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) Award for Best Visual Effects. He graduated from Collège Mérici in Quebec City with a diploma in Multimedia, followed with an AEC degree in Visual Effects Compositing at Institut Grasset.

Discovering his passion for educating the next generation of artists, he has taught Compositing at Institut Grasset, l’Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT) and O'Sullivan College of Québec, and even returned to college himself, earning an Undergraduate Certificate in 3D for Visual Effects from UQAT to further build his skillset.
