The British Arrows has announced the shortlist for both its Arrows and Craft awards; which sees Framestore shortlisted for two awards as well as a whole raft of our projects shortlisted in several different categories.

CGI: Purdey's 'Hummingbird'

Hummingbird - the full CG Purdey's commercial produced by Framestore Pictures and directed by Murray Butler has been shortlisted for the Craft CGI Award. 

We are thrilled to have been awarded Best Attraction and Retention Strategy at this year's Montreal International Awards, recognizing companies that are leading the way in terms of export, attracting overseas talent and contributing to Montreal’s economy.

We're delighted to share the news that Framestore has won an Annie Award for Best Character Animation - TV/Media for our work on Iorek, the armoured bear, in His Dark Materials (BBC / HBO). Huge congratulations to the whole team who worked so hard to bring him to life.

Framestore’s work in Visual Effects has been recognised in the 91st Academy Awards, gaining an Academy-Award nomination in Visual Effects for Christopher Robin. Framestore’s Chris Lawrence, Michael Eames, Theo Jones are nominated for their involvement and creative direction.

We are very proud to share the news that Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame has been nominated for the BAFTA in Special Visual Effects. Huge congratulations to our friends Dan Deleeuw and Dan Sudick for their nomination, as well as our team who worked so hard on this ground-breaking film - from bringing Smart Hulk to life, to creating the quantum suits and Avengers Hangar environment. The awards ceremony itself will take place at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Feb. 2. 

The Visual Effects Society have announced their nominations for the 18th Annual VES Awards and we're proud to share the news that we have eight nominations across a diverse range of our recent work in film, television, advertising and immersive projects. We'd like to congratulate all of our artists and friends who have been nominated for their outstanding work. The VES Awards will be held on January 29.

We are very proud to announce that three films worked on extensively by the Framestore team have made the top ten shortlist for the Oscar in Best Visual Effects. Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel and James Cameron's Alita: Battle Angel have all been selected for their pioneering VFX work. Final nominations will be announced on January 13th.

We are delighted that seven films worked on by Framestore have been included in the longlist for the upcoming Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Visual Effects Branch Executive Committee determined the preliminary list of films eligible for further awards consideration. Later this month, the committee will select a shortlist of 10 films that will advance to nominations voting.

We are thrilled that A Moon for all Mankind, the VR project that Framestore developed with creative agency Iris and engineering experts Mannetron for technology giant Samsung, took home the ‘Best use of VR’ award at the inaugural Broadcast Tech Innovation Awards in a ceremony hosted by the leading industry trade publication.
