Lewis Hamilton, co-star of our collaboration with McLaren, Tooned, won the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday, leading throughout despite stiff competition from Lotus drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean.
The win keeps Hamilton in the reckoning for the world title and we think it was the change of rear wing that made all the difference – Lewis’ car on Sunday bore the Tooned logo from our Mclaren Animation partnership.
Both Lewis and his teammate Jenson Button star in the three-minute animations, alongside comedian Alexander Armstrong. The shorts, which are being written, animated, produced and directed by Framestore, are broadcast on Sky Sports F1 before each grand prix. Episode four will be shown before the Belgian Grand Prix on 2 September .
