To support the launch of Hennessy’s new Unfinished Business initiative, Framestore worked with the talented team at Droga5 on a short film that encourages small businesses and nonprofits that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19 to apply for financial assistance.
The $3 million grant for entrepreneurs will provide immediate support and counsel for businesses, particularly in Black, Asian and Latinx communities disproportionately affected by the health and economic consequences of the current climate, to push through some of their most immediate challenges.
The Framestore team was responsible for grading and finishing the film with comp finesse in order to underscore the tone of the piece. As Framestore colourist Simon Bourne noted:
"The colour brief took on aspects from photographer Roy DeCarava, with the addition of an underexposed look of 35mm film, combining this with multiple formats that was shot to give the commercial a velvety gritty look to reflect the all important message of unfinished business."
The film will appear on broadcast and online channels from June to support the Unfinished Business grant.
