Oscar winning director, Tom Hooper (Smuggler) shot the live action and brought an epic scale and cinematic look to the spots.
This next chapter in the gecko's career gave our animation team a great opportunity to showcase their skills. The extra screen time he gets without a side-kick gave us space to work into the nuances of his performance. The gecko needed to be 'upgraded' for the higher-resolution delivery, so our CG and texture artists gave him a complete overhaul. The comp team also had their hands full with sitting him into the field of wheat. We used a combination of live action and CG grass interaction to really sit him into the scenes.
