The latest round of spots for State Street were shot by the Guard Brothers in Prague. The live action elements had a truly cinematic quality to them which really complemented our CGI.
We were asked to create two stand alone shots of the stricken vessel sinking to the depths. Both were fully CGI, from the submarine to the underwater plates and elements.
The CG submarine was based on a toy that appears later in the spot but had to be completely convincing in its scale and photo-reality. "Andy and the CG team really pulled out the stops on the lighting', said James Razzall, Executive Producer. "Once we saw the first passes we new it was going to look amazing. The caustic lighting effects and Houdini bubble simulations all combined perfectly with Raul's live action elements. It was great working with the Guards again and the whole agency / client process was a pleasure."
