Weetabix Minis 'Relaxed Breakfast'

Framestore has helped Short Films’ director, Jon Greenhalgh, give Weetabix Minis a technical twist. Created for WCRS&Co, Relaxed Breakfast sees a family going through the usual breakfast routine but their actions are mostly seen in dreamy slowmo.

Supervised by Framestore’s Pedro Sabrosa, the 2D team’s main challenge was using invisible effects to build the perfect shots. This meant combining and re-timing elements from separate plates; and even required head replacement work to match the girl’s perfect body movement with her best performance. The slowmo milk pouring shot also required a significant amount work as it was, in fact, rebuilt from various different takes. The 2D team was additionally responsible for rig removal, product beautifying and re-timing, pack work and tracking, adding steam to cups and adjusting eyelines to follow the biscuits. Framestore’s coloursit, Dave Ludlam, polished the ad with a natural looking grade that felt homely and friendly.
