Sky HD 'Supertelly'

WCRSs new Sky HD Factory commercial was created by Framestore on behalf of Hungrymans, Hideyuki Tanaka. This was Tanaka Sans first UK commercial and we collaborated closely with him from the initial scripts, right through to the end of the post process.

Framestore's Head of Smoke & VFX Supervisor, Oliver Bersey, assisted by Senior Operator Tim Greenwood, composited motion control elements & live action plates into environments generated entirely in 2D. 'Our biggest challenge was obviously creating the rooms that didn't exsist,' says Bersey, 'We used lots of stills of generic factories, warehouses and even an empty stage at Pinewood to create a range of environments. The brief was very much to move away from squeaky clean and keep it real!'

The initial look was set by Senior Colourist, Dave Ludlum & mastergraded at the end by Head of Telecine, Steff Perry.
