Congratulations to Framestore Colourist, Simon Bourne for receiving a nomination in the Best Telecine category at the UK Music Video Awards 2010, for his grading of Plan B's Stay Too Long, directed by Daniel Wolfe.

Over an 8 year relationship, Simon has graded over 30 promos for Daniel, who won the Best Director Category. Stay Too Long marks the first in a series of Music Video Dramas, from Plan B's second album, The Defamation of Strickland Banks, all of which have been directed by Wolfe and graded by Bourne.

The album tells the story from the first-hand perspective of Strickland Banks, a fictional 'pop star' character played by Plan B, whose real name is Ben Drew. Stay Too Long begins backstage in the dressing room at the end of a sold out concert. It follows Plan B and his entourage as they celebrate the success of the concert with a night out on the tiles, which culminates in him having a one night stand with a woman, played by Kaya Scodelario of Skins fame. In She Said the woman wants to form a serious relationship with Plan B who, already in a relationship, was only after a one night stand. Feeling rejected, she accuses him of rape. The subsequent trial results in Prayin in which he is sent to prison, and features some incredible hard edged choreography. Much of the rest of the album focuses on his time inside.

All the promos have been shot on 16mm film which lends a suitably gritty, filmic look to the series which received nominations across the majority of other categories at the MVPAs.

The UK Music Video Awards have been running since 2008, they celebrate creativity, technical excellence and innovation in music video and moving image for music.
