Framestore has just finished creating giant CG cranes and wrecking balls for cheeky builders to have fun with during his tea break. Directed by Rattling Stick's Steve Cope for JWT, the spot sees a builder draw playful inspiration from his Kit Kat break by using the site's cranes and wrecking balls to recreate a giant Newton's Cradle, more usually seen on the desk of 1980s bankers.

Although the ad was shot on a London building site that already included cranes, Framestore recreated them and the balls in CG to give the director more control over their choreography. The actors, however, were shot against greenscreen and composited into the live action and CG plates. The VFX were supervised by Chris Redding, with CG being led by David Fish. Dave Ludlam crafted the grade.
